	Maison Taupe is in Les Tuilieres, a rural hamlet, just outside Oradour-sur-Vayres, and only a few minutes from Rochechouart, St Mathieu, St Junien and Chalus in the Haute Vienne. It lies to the south west of Limoges and the A20, one of the main routes through to the south of France, Andorra, Spain and Portugal. The accommodation is within our farmhouse. We have kept many of the fine features which show the great craftsmanship of day’s gone by. The house is set in two and a half acres of land, mostly laid out to garden, this also includes our pool for you, as guests, to enjoy. We, the owners, Peter and Barbara, aim to make your stay with us as comfortable, relaxing and memorable as possible. Whether you are holidaying or just passing through this is an ideal base. The Limousin is one of the last remaining areas of unspoiled natural beauty in France.

Whatever you choose to do on your holiday, MAISON TAUPE is a fantastic place to end your day with a great home cooked meal using fresh home grown produce with a few glasses of wine, and then you relax in the garden and watch the sunset perfect!

We are in the Limousin/Perigord National Park which has many places of outstanding beauty within easy reach. follow the trail of Sir Richard the Lion Heart which takes you too many Chateaux, Cathedrals into the Dordogne Valley and Charente.

Visit the Martyr Village Oradour- sur- Glane. Or Limoges known for its fine porcelain. The city lies in hilly country on the river Vienne, dominated by a great Gothic cathedral with parks, gardens and old narrow mediaeval streets.

For those of you traveling by road, we are around 7 hours from Calais/Boulogne

Our local airport is Limoges (Bellegarde) which is 30mins away.
